Ricky Gonzalez has spent more than three decades serving Houston, Texas, and surrounding regions, most recently as a senior associate and municipal/roadway team leader and regional business development principal.

His design and project management experience encompasses hundreds of public infrastructure improvements, including roadways, traffic signals, trails, ADA-compliant sidewalks, and traffic engineering projects throughout the region, with particular emphasis on turnkey services for “complete streets” design in underserved communities.

His management background includes capital improvements planning, federal and local funding management, scheduling, reporting, resource management, financial tracking, and regional business development. In his long-time regional business development role, Gonzalez has worked with executive leadership to develop and execute short-term and long-term strategic growth plans.

Gonzalez also serves on the board of the Westchase District’s Community Fund (WDCF), Transportation Advocacy Group (TAG), and Houston Hispanic Architects & Engineers (HHAE). Additionally, he is an active member of both the American Society of Civil Engineers and American Council of Engineering Companies. 

He was named Engineer of the Year by the HHAE in 2022.

Gonzalez is bilingual in English and Spanish and serves actively as a voice, advocate, and leader, emphasizing the positive impact of engineering on the local community and the indispensable role of Hispanic engineers.
